China National Horology Standardization Center
is the authority community managing national horology standards. It
is in charge of establish, formulation, inspection, message, grandfather,
publishing of horological standards and national military timekeeping
standards as well as evaluation after the standards being implemented.
The interpretation right of the standards is reserved in this center.
China National Horology Standardization Technical Committee is approved
by China State Bureau of Technical Supervision, and is led and managed
by China State Bureau of Light Industry. It is responsible for establishing
the standardization systematic form of horology industry. The Standardization
Committee meeting held annually inspects the standard drafts and gives
the conclusive agreement. It also undertakes the internal entry work
of Horology Technical Committee of International Organization for
Standardization (ISO/TC114). It is the only internal grandfather community
of horological international standards and information of ISO/TC114.
China National Horology Standardization Technical Committee is composed
by 36 committee members. And it nearly has one hundred communication
members.
China National Horology Standardization Center is made up with staffs
who all have middle or senior professional titles. Its technical ability
is very strong. It possesses overall internal and international horology
standards and technical documents and provides the valuable technical
basis for enterprises to research new products and enlarge international
markets. It also provides standard foundations with legal effects
for the disagreements caused by domestic and overseas horological
industry and business.
The professional work includes:
1. Undertake to formulate horological state standards and professional
standards, and report plans; to assist enterprises to formulate enterprise’s
standards;
2. Undertake to identify the quality level for clock, watch, and timer
products;
3. Certificate the standard level of product quality for the standard
implemented by enterprises;
4. Responsible for the appraisement of standards after being implemented
and the work of applying for scientific advanced rewards;
5. Take part in the formulation and amendment work of international
horology standards, and represent our country to exchange and cooperate
in horological standard field, and responsible for organizing enterprises
to take part in international horological standardization meeting.
