| Horology Research Institute
of Light Industry is a national-grade watch & clock research institution
that is specially engaged in researching and developing every kind
of timekeeping instruments which are used in civilian, industry, military,
and special kinds. Horology Research
Institute of Light Industry is located at science and technology
block of south rural of Xian. It possesses strong technology power,
machining and production abilities. It has more than six hundreds
sets of precise machining equipment and instruments. The total amount
of capital assert is more than twenty millions RMB. Four national-grade
centers of watch & clock industry, which are China National
Horology Quality Supervision and Testing Center, China Nation Horology
Standardization Center, China National Watch & Clock Information
Center, and The Professional Training Center of CHINA HOROLOGE ASSOCIATION
are all set up in this institute.
Since the foundation of the Institute, it has
finished more than two hundreds of research projects. Seven of them
were awarded national-grade science and technology-advanced awards,
thirty-four of them were awarded provincial-grade and department-grade
advanced awards. Successively it successfully develops many kinds
of timekeeping instrument used in navy, land army and air force;
every kind of high property timekeeping instruments and timekeeping
systems cooperated with the national important products. Apart from
that, the Institute has many products that are in leading position,
they are clocks used in construction, high precise quartz master
and slave clock systems, vacuumed plating machines for super-hard
multi-chamber gold, testing apparatuses, development and research
of computer CAD/CAM incorporated etc.
